WHO WE ARE
Maidaan is Pakistan's largest grassroots football initiative, established under Muslim Hands — a globally recognised humanitarian organisation. Our mission is to empower street-connected and marginalised youth through football.
Founded to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, Maidaan runs nationwide trials, international tournaments, and a full youth development pipeline — all rooted in the belief that football is a vehicle for social change.
We have represented Pakistan at the Street Child World Cup (Qatar 2022, Mexico 2026) and Norway Cup (2023, 2025), bringing international recognition to players who once had nothing but their passion for the game.

Team Leader — Street Child Football Project
One of the youngest change-makers to emerge from Muslim Hands Mirpur, Husnain played a key role in initiating the Youth and Volunteer Programme — creating meaningful opportunities for young people to engage in community development and humanitarian action.
He served as Coordinator for the Street-Connected Children Project at national and international levels, before taking on leadership of Pakistan's most ambitious grassroots football initiative.

Maidaan's future is focused on becoming Pakistan's official grassroots football development program through a FIFA/AFC partnership. As a self-sustaining social enterprise, it aims to secure funding via merchandise, sponsorships, and events.
Expansion plans include reaching over 200 cities to bring football to underserved communities, alongside dedicated training programmes for women to foster inclusivity and growth in Pakistan's football scene.
